Zoom! teeth whitening is a light-activated teeth whitening treatment that can lighten
your teeth up to six shades whiter than before in about two hours. The process is simple and very effective. Whitening gel containing hydrogen peroxide,
is applied to your teeth. The dentist will then flash the Zoom! (Low-heat) on your teeth
to activate and break down the hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide allows oxygen to
enter your teeth and bleach the dentin and enamel. There are four fifteen-minute gel
applications prior to completion. A fluoride treatment completes the procedure.
A Customized Take-Home self-application system
is also available. This "Home Kit" will take about one
hour per day over the span of about two weeks. The
results are similar to that of the in-office
procedure, but with the added convenience of home
application. The strength of whitening gel held by the customized tray is determined by you and the dentist for the most effective yet comfortable result.
Professional Strength Crest Whitestrips Supreme are available for purchase. Thin, flexible strips contain safe active ingredients, which are more effective than drugstore products. The strips are applied to the teeth for 30 minutes, twice daily for 21 days.
